West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) a wholly-owned profit-making Government of West Bengal Enterprise, engaged in the business of Hydel Generation and Power Distribution throughout the state of West Bengal with a customer base of approximately 81 lakhs, an employee strength of around 19,500 and annual turnover in the region of ` 9,000 crores invites applications from Indian nationals to fill up the following vacant posts immediately:-

1) Additional General Manager (Finance & Accounts);
  • No. of Post : 1 (Reserved exclusively for SC candidate)
  • Qualifications : Full time Graduate in any discipline with AICWA / ACA / MBA (Finance) (2 years’ full time) from a Recognized University / Reputed Institute approved by AICTE / IIMs / XLRI / IIT B Schools
  • Pay band of :  37,400/- – 67,000/- with Grade Pay of  8,700/- (Approx. Gross Salary:  73,000/-)
  • Minimum Experience : Experience of 15 years or more in Senior Management position in Finance and Accounts department in a large Engineering / Power Generation / Distribution organization in a professional environment, out of which at least 5 years experience in senior position with experience in Budgeting, Final Accounts, Auditing & Cash Management. He must have sufficient knowledge and experience in handling all facets of Finance Function independently. He must have knowledge of working in ERP / SAP environment
2) Principal, Electricity Employees Training Institute:
  • No. of Posts : 6 [Reservation Status:- SC-1, ST-1, Unreserved-3, OBC(A)-1]
  • Minimum Experience : Minimum 12 years experience in the field of training and development of technical manpower, including skilled and semi-skilled categories. Must have administrative experience in running a training institute independently. Candidates having experience of minimum 3 years as head of a training institute in any Electricity Distribution Company will be preferred.
  • Qualifications : Full time BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from recognised university / institute preferably with P.G. Diploma in Training & Development from a recognised institute / university.
Age limit : The age limit for the post of Additional General Manager (F&A) is between 40-55 years and between 35-40 years for the post of Principal, Electricity Employees Training Institute as on 01.01.2011, with relaxation of 5 years for SC & ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
